The Yamaha YZF‑R1 represents one of the most important evolutions of Yamaha’s legendary R1 superbike line. Released as part of the second major redesign of the R1, the 2002–2003 model introduced a completely new chassis, sharper styling, and improved handling that made it one of the most capable sport bikes of its era.
At its heart is a 998 cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine producing around 150 horsepower, delivering strong mid-range power and explosive top-end performance.
