The Workshop is where the bikes come apart, ideas get tested, and mistakes usually happen before things finally start working properly. It’s the practical side of the builds — the tools, the late-night fixes, and the small modifications that slowly turn old machines into something special.
Here you’ll find step-by-step guides, mechanical experiments, and honest workshop notes covering everything from suspension rebuilds and carb tuning to airflow mods, engine tweaks, and track bike setup.
Most of the work comes directly from ongoing projects like the YZF750R track build, the 2003 Yamaha R1, and a CRF250R restoration project I’m working on with my daughter Moot.
Nothing here is theory — it’s all learned with oil on the hands and parts scattered across the bench.
If you enjoy figuring out how motorcycles really work, this is where the spanners come out.
Popular workshop topics include motorcycle suspension rebuilds, carburetor tuning, airflow and intake modifications, track bike setup, and sportbike restoration.
