Year 1994

The Yamaha YZF750R is one of Yamaha’s most iconic 1990s superbikes, built during the golden era of homologation racing machines. Designed as a road-going performance bike with strong links to Yamaha’s race program, the YZF750R combined aggressive styling, advanced chassis engineering, and a high-revving inline-four engine that made it a favourite among track riders and enthusiasts.

Powered by a 749 cc liquid-cooled inline-four, the YZF750R produces roughly 120 horsepower and is known for its smooth but powerful delivery at higher revs. Yamaha engineered the bike with race performance in mind, giving it features like a Deltabox aluminium frame, fully adjustable suspension, and powerful twin front disc brakes. These elements made the bike exceptionally stable at speed and capable of handling serious track use.

Visually, the YZF750R represents the classic 1990s superbike aesthetic—sharp bodywork, twin headlights, and bold racing colours inspired by Yamaha’s factory racing machines. The design shares DNA with the rare homologation model Yamaha YZF750R OW01, which competed in international superbike racing.

Today the YZF750R is appreciated as a modern classic, valued by collectors and builders who enjoy restoring and modifying older Japanese sport bikes. Its robust engine, strong chassis, and distinctive styling make it an excellent platform for custom builds, track projects, and enthusiast restorations.
